Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Canon EF

The sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art opens to f/1.4 at the classic wide-angle focal length, providing strong subject separation and significant low-light capability for street, documentary, environmental portrait, and travel photography on Canon EF cameras.

Sigma's Art line prioritizes optical performance above size and weight constraints, using a large-diameter optical formula with premium glass to achieve the resolution and contrast of a prime benchmark lens at f/1.4 across the full frame.

The Hyper Sonic Motor provides fast and near-silent autofocus with full-time manual focus override available at any point, maintaining full compatibility with Canon EF camera AF systems including continuous tracking modes for moving subjects.

Special Low Dispersion glass elements control axial and lateral chromatic aberration at the wide f/1.4 aperture, producing accurate color rendering and high contrast at all aperture settings from f/1.4 through to f/16.

Super Multi-Layer Coating on internal elements suppresses internal reflections and minimizes flare and ghosting when shooting into light sources or in backlit conditions at the 35mm wide-angle focal length.

Nine rounded aperture blades produce smooth and near-circular out-of-focus highlights at f/1.4, delivering pleasing background separation that makes this lens effective for environmental portrait and street photography where background context matters.

Designed for the Canon EF mount and covering the full 35mm image circle, this lens is compatible with all Canon EOS DSLR cameras and with Canon EOS R mirrorless cameras via the Canon EF-EOS R mount adapter.

A precision-engineered lens barrel with tight manufacturing tolerances delivers consistent optical alignment across temperature and humidity ranges, with a non-rotating front element allowing easy use of circular polarizing filters.
