Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG II Art Lens (Sony E)

The sigma 35mm is a full-frame Art-series wide-angle prime for Sony E-Mount cameras. At 35mm, it delivers a natural yet slightly wide perspective suitable for street photography, documentary, environmental portraits, and landscape work on full-frame Alpha bodies.

The sigma 35mm uses SLD, ELD, and FLD glass elements alongside aspherical elements to control all major aberrations including chromatic, spherical, and field curvature, delivering high resolution and contrast from wide open at f/1.4 through the entire aperture range.

The sigma 35mm uses a Stepping Motor AF system that provides quiet, precise focus drive, making it practical for hybrid photo and video shooting where microphone noise pickup during autofocus operation must be minimized.

The sigma 35mm includes a physical aperture ring with a de-click switch for smooth, silent aperture transitions during video recording, and a customizable AFL button that can be programmed to hold focus, activate AF, or perform other user-defined functions during shooting.

The sigma 35mm features a rounded 11-blade diaphragm that produces smooth, circular bokeh in out-of-focus areas, enhancing the visual separation between subjects and backgrounds even at 35mm where depth of field is naturally greater than at longer focal lengths.

The sigma 35mm is built with a weather-sealed design that resists dust and moisture ingress, allowing photographers to use it outdoors in challenging conditions including light rain, dusty environments, and humid locations without risking damage to internal optics.

The sigma 35mm achieves a minimum focus distance of 11.8 inches (30cm), allowing close-range subject rendering and enhanced subject isolation at f/1.4 even at this wider focal length, expanding creative options beyond typical 35mm shooting scenarios.
