Canon RF 35mm f/1.4 L VCM Lens (Canon RF)

The canon rf 35mm f/1.4 L VCM lens opens to f/1.4, delivering nearly two stops of light-gathering advantage over an f/2.8 design and enabling shallow depth of field for subject isolation at the 35mm focal length.

The Voice Coil Motor focusing system moves the focus group with extremely fast and precise electronic control, enabling smooth and responsive focus pulls for cinema use while also delivering rapid AF for still photography.

Built-in optical image stabilization combines with in-body IS in compatible Canon EOS R cameras to provide multiple stops of effective shake correction, extending handheld shooting capability in low-light environments.

A dedicated aperture ring on the barrel allows direct aperture setting with a smooth de-click switch for silent stepless aperture changes during video recording, matching the operating style of cinema prime lenses.

The focus preset button memorizes a specific focus distance for instant recall, and a focus limiter switch restricts the AF search range to either close-focus or distance zones for faster subject acquisition.

Air Sphere Coating minimizes flare and ghosting in backlit and high-contrast scenes, preserving the contrast and color saturation of the lens even when shooting against bright light sources.

Ten rounded aperture blades produce smooth and circular bokeh highlights across a wide range of aperture settings, supporting the pleasing out-of-focus rendering expected from an L-series prime.

Two customizable lens function buttons provide quick access to camera functions during shooting, and the control ring can be assigned to aperture, ISO, or exposure compensation for one-handed operation.

Built for the Canon RF mount and covering the full 35mm image circle, the lens is compatible with all Canon EOS R full-frame and APS-C mirrorless cameras including the R5, R6, R8, and R10 series.
