Canon RF 28-70mm f/2 L USM Lens

The canon rf 28 70mm maintains a constant f/2 maximum aperture across the entire zoom range, a full stop brighter than f/2.8 competitors and two stops brighter than f/4 standard zooms, enabling significantly shallower depth of field and faster shutter speeds.

A 28-70mm zoom range covers wide-angle environmental portraits at 28mm through to flattering short telephoto compression at 70mm, making this lens a single solution for events, weddings, portraits, and documentary photography.

The ring-type ultrasonic motor delivers near-instantaneous autofocus response with near-silent operation, and full-time manual focus override allows precise adjustments without switching out of AF mode during shooting.

Multiple Ultra-Low Dispersion glass elements control chromatic aberration at the wide f/2 aperture, maintaining edge sharpness and color accuracy across the image circle even at the widest opening.

Nine rounded aperture blades produce exceptionally smooth and circular out-of-focus highlights at f/2, providing the creamy background separation that makes this lens a preferred choice for portrait and event photographers.

A dedicated control ring on the lens barrel can be assigned to aperture, ISO, exposure compensation, or shutter speed, enabling direct control of key settings during shooting without navigating camera menus.

Super Spectra multi-layer coatings minimize internal reflections and suppress flare and ghosting caused by strong light sources in frame, maintaining contrast and color fidelity throughout the aperture and zoom range.

Designed exclusively for the Canon RF mount and covering the full 35mm image circle, this lens is compatible with all Canon EOS R full-frame mirrorless cameras and takes full advantage of the RF mount's wide diameter and short flange distance.
