Canon RF 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM Lens

The canon rf 100mm delivers a 1.4x maximum magnification with autofocus maintained, going beyond the standard 1:1 macro ratio and enabling closer working distances for extreme detail capture of small subjects.

An f/2.8 maximum aperture provides strong subject separation and background blur for portrait and product photography, while also admitting enough light for handheld macro work in typical indoor conditions.

Canon's Nano USM motor delivers fast, smooth, and near-silent autofocus across the full focus range, with full-time manual focus override available at any time for precise fine-tuning during close-up work.

The Hybrid IS system combines shift and angular shake correction to compensate for the micro-movements that most impact macro photography, working together with in-body IS on compatible EOS R cameras for up to 8 stops of combined correction.

Super Spectra multi-layer coatings on the optical elements suppress flare and ghosting across a wide range of lighting angles, maintaining contrast and color fidelity whether shooting backlit subjects or using ring flash macro lighting.

Nine rounded aperture blades produce smooth, circular bokeh highlights in out-of-focus areas across a wide aperture range, contributing to the pleasing background separation this lens delivers in portrait and macro use.

A customizable control ring on the barrel can be assigned to aperture, ISO, or exposure compensation for direct one-handed adjustment, and a lens function button provides quick access to a user-defined camera setting.

Designed for the Canon RF mount and covering the full 35mm image circle, this lens is compatible with all Canon EOS R full-frame cameras and delivers its rated macro performance on APS-C bodies at an equivalent longer focal length.
