Tamron 24mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M 1:2 Lens for Sony E

The tamron 24mm f/2.8 Di III OSD opens to f/2.8 at the wide 24mm focal length, providing reliable light-gathering for landscape, street, environmental portrait, and travel photography on full-frame Sony E-mount cameras in a remarkably compact and lightweight prime design.

A 1:2 maximum magnification ratio at a minimum focusing distance of 11.8cm enables close-up photography of small subjects at half life size, making this lens a practical dual-purpose wide-angle and macro option for travel photographers who want both capabilities in one lens.

The OSD Optimised Silent Drive stepping motor delivers smooth and near-silent autofocus compatible with Sony's phase-detect AF system, providing reliable subject acquisition for stills and quiet focus operation during video recording on Sony Alpha cameras.

Low Dispersion and aspherical glass elements control chromatic aberration and field curvature across the focus range from infinity through to the 1:2 macro minimum distance, maintaining sharpness and color accuracy at all subject distances.

Broad-Band Anti-Reflection coating suppresses flare and ghosting in backlit conditions and when shooting toward light sources within the 24mm wide-angle field of view, maintaining contrast and color fidelity for landscape and interior photography.

The remarkably compact and lightweight construction makes this one of the smallest fast-aperture macro-capable wide primes available for Sony E-mount, ideal for travel and street photographers who value small kit size without sacrificing close-focus capability.

Moisture-resistant construction at barrel joints provides protection against light rain and splashes during outdoor shooting, making this lens suitable for travel and landscape photography in variable weather conditions.

Designed natively for the Sony E-mount and covering the full 35mm image circle, this lens is compatible with all Sony Alpha full-frame mirrorless cameras and provides a 36mm equivalent focal length on APS-C E-mount bodies.
