SmallRig Camera Cage for Sony FX30 and FX3

The smallrig fx3 cage is machined to the exact dimensions of the Sony FX3 and FX30 cinema camera bodies, providing a tight-fitting and secure surround frame that protects the camera during production while maintaining complete access to all controls, ports, the multi-interface shoe, and the media slots.

The smallrig fx3 cage features an extensive grid of 1/4-inch-20 and 3/8-inch-16 threaded holes on all four sides, enabling simultaneous attachment of a top handle, side monitor arm, front LED light, and bottom rod system in a complete professional cinema rig configuration for the FX3.

Multiple cold shoe and NATO rail positions integrated into the smallrig fx3 cage provide dedicated mounting for the Sony XLR audio adapter, wireless audio receivers, microphone mounts, and monitoring accessories, fully equipping the FX3 for run-and-gun documentary and event production.

An Arca-Swiss compatible dovetail base in the smallrig fx3 cage enables direct mounting to Arca-Swiss tripod heads and quick-release clamps, supporting fast transition between tripod, gimbal, and handheld configurations without dismounting the cage between setups.

The smallrig fx3 cage integrates both 15mm LWS rod ports and NATO rail attachment points, supporting follow focus systems, matte boxes, and lens support rods in the standard cinema rig format used for the Sony FX3 in professional video and documentary production.

The smallrig fx3 cage is designed to maintain unrestricted access to all FX3 and FX30 ports including the full-size HDMI 2.0 output, USB-C connector, 3.5mm microphone and headphone jacks, multi-interface shoe, and CFexpress Type A media slots without cage disassembly.

The smallrig fx3 cage is CNC-machined from aluminum alloy for a strong and lightweight frame that adds minimal weight to the Sony FX3 cinema rig while providing the structural rigidity needed for professional multi-accessory mounting during demanding handheld and gimbal production.

The smallrig fx3 cage integrates with SmallRig's cinema accessory ecosystem including VCT-14 quick release, top handles, articulating monitor arms, follow focus systems, and rod accessories for building a complete modular Sony FX3 cinema rig with a single ecosystem.
