Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens for Sony E

The sigma 24mm is a full-frame Art-series wide-angle prime for Sony E-Mount, delivering a 24mm field of view that is ideal for environmental portraits, real estate, travel, architecture, and any scenario requiring a genuinely wide perspective with fast aperture capability.

The sigma 24mm uses two FLD glass elements with nearly the same performance as fluorite, one SLD element for chromatic aberration control, and four aspherical elements to correct distortion and spherical aberration, producing edge-to-edge sharpness across the full-frame circle.

The sigma 24mm uses an STM autofocus motor that operates quietly and accurately, enabling effective use on Sony mirrorless cameras including during video recording where mechanical noise from the focus drive should not be audible in the final audio track.

The sigma 24mm features a rounded 11-blade diaphragm that produces circular highlight discs in out-of-focus areas, creating smooth bokeh rendering at f/1.4 that is unusual for a 24mm wide-angle prime and adds creative visual quality to wide landscape and environmental compositions.

The sigma 24mm uses Super Multilayer Coating on its elements to reduce flare and ghosting that would otherwise be prominent when shooting at a wide angle into or near strong light sources, maintaining contrast and color fidelity in backlit and high-contrast scenes.

The sigma 24mm features a brass bayonet mount for durability and precise fit, 72mm front filter threads for standard polarizer and ND filter use, and a rear filter holder that allows gel filter insertion for specialized color correction or ND filtration without bulky front filter systems.
