Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens (Sony E)

The sigma 16mm 1.4 is designed for APS-C sensor cameras with Sony E-Mount, delivering a 24mm full-frame equivalent angle of view that is ideal for wide-angle landscapes, street photography, and environmental portraits.

The sigma 16mm 1.4 opens to a fast f/1.4 maximum aperture, allowing photographers to shoot in low-light environments without raising ISO, and producing subject separation with a shallow depth of field even at a wide focal length.

The sigma 16mm 1.4 uses a Stepping Motor AF system that operates quietly and accurately, making it suitable for both photo and video work where near-silent autofocus during recording is a priority.

The sigma 16mm 1.4 incorporates two aspherical elements for distortion correction, two SLD glass elements, and three FLD elements that work together to reduce chromatic aberration and deliver edge-to-edge sharpness across the APS-C frame.

The sigma 16mm 1.4 features weather-sealed construction that protects the lens from dust and moisture, allowing photographers to shoot confidently in outdoor conditions without worrying about environmental damage to the optics.

The sigma 16mm 1.4 has a rounded 9-blade diaphragm that creates smooth, circular bokeh rendering in out-of-focus areas, giving background elements a pleasing aesthetic quality even when shooting at a wide focal length.

The sigma 16mm 1.4 uses Super Multi-Layer Coating on its elements to suppress flare and ghosting when shooting into or near bright light sources, maintaining contrast and color accuracy in challenging lighting situations.
